Dr Andre Wattiaux


Dr Wattiaux is a general paediatrician and father of three young children. He is dedicated to a practice of modern paediatrics that blends evidence from research and common sense. 
Dr Wattiaux has broad interests including
evidence-based solutions to general paediatric conditions, newborn care, and, 
developmental and behavioural challenges. He has significant experience in looking after children from birth to adolescence gained from working in the United Kingdom, Darwin and five years at The Children's Hospital at Westmead until he and his family decided to settle on the Gold Coast.

Above all, his clinical work is guided by a kind and compassionate nature, and, a holistic approach to problem-solving.

To add to his work as a consultant paediatrician, Dr Wattiaux also trained as a consultant public health physician who graduated and worked at Johns Hopkins University and served in a number of Government capacities to contribute to the immunisation program and communicable disease control in Australia. He has contributed to research focusing on vulnerable paediatric populations in different countries in the world.
