Dr Stephen Ansley is a friendly, down to earth, and compassionate general paediatrician, who enjoys assisting with all aspects of paediatric care and parenting concerns, from newborns to adolescents.

Dr Ansley grew up in New Zealand where he earned a first class honours degree in molecular biology and spent six years doing genetic research in the United States.  He then completed his medical degree at the University of Otago in New Zealand before moving to Australia as a junior doctor.

The early part of his paediatric training was carried out at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.  On a secondment to Tweed Hospital, he and his young family fell in love with the Gold Coast and decided to stay.  He finished his training between the Gold Coast University and Tweed Hospitals.

Dr Ansley has travelled extensively and had varied life experiences that help in relating to families from different places and walks of life. 

He loves the idea of being able to look after children and their families for years to come; to watch them grow and develop to their potential.  He has both medical and personal experience of dealing with significant illness in a child, and he will treat your children with understanding, care, and respect.

When not working, Dr Steve enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, binge-watching TV shows, and finding new places to eat!
