Information about upcoming appointments

Children who see a paediatrician often have serious and sometimes complex health issues. It is important for children to continue to receive specialised paediatric care, even in these difficult times.

If you have an appointment you might notice some changes to the rooms to keep the environment as safe as always.

-       We invest in medical grade cleaning for our rooms and this has been stepped up so cleaning occurs throughout the day as well as overnight.

-       Toys in the waiting room have been put away for the time being. Please bring your own small toy, book or activity for your child if they’d like something to play with.

-       No more handshakes. Over the years many children have acquired good handshaking skills with their paediatrician at Leading Steps. Now you can expect a friendly wave, an elbow bump or even the “Wuhan footshake”.

-       Appointments have been spread out so the waiting room is quiet with plenty of room.

-       It is recommended that children keep their regular appointments.
Some appointments are suitable for telehealth consultations with their Leading Steps Paediatrician. Please call the rooms for more information.

-       To keep our environment safe children or family members with colds, the flu or respiratory illnesses cannot attend the rooms. Please call the rooms to reschedule.

- Please limit the number of people attending your child’s consultation to parents only.
